Septic Services

Septic Installation
Fort Collins, CO

New systems and full replacements for homes and acreage around Fort Collins. We handle the soil testing, the Larimer County permit, the excavation and the final inspection.

Where We Work

Fort Collins Properties That Need Septic

Most homes inside Fort Collins city limits run on city or district sewer. Septic systems are mainly on the rural and acreage properties around the city, where a sewer line isn't available.

If you're building on land outside the sewer service area, or the system on your acreage is failing, you'll need a septic system designed and permitted for that parcel. That's the work we do every week, from new builds to full replacements.

  • Laporte & Bellvue

Acreage lots near the Poudre River and up into Rist Canyon.

  • Poudre Canyon & Foothills

Cabins and mountain homes west of Horsetooth Reservoir.

  • Wellington & North Fort Collins

Rural parcels and new builds outside the sewer service area.

  • Timnath & East County

Farm properties and acreage homes on the eastern plains.

Local Ground

What Shapes a Fort Collins System

The ground around Fort Collins changes a lot within a few miles. These are the conditions we check first, because they decide what kind of system your property can use.

Clay soils on the plains

Much of the land east of Fort Collins has heavy clay that drains slowly. Soil testing tells us how fast your ground absorbs water, which decides how large the drain field needs to be.

Rock and slope in the foothills

West toward the foothills, shallow rock and steep lots are common. Those sites often need an engineered design, such as a chamber field or a raised system, instead of a standard gravel bed.

Groundwater near the river

Low ground along the Cache la Poudre can sit close to the water table. Your system needs proper separation from groundwater, and that shapes both the system type and where it goes on the lot.

How It Works

From Bare Lot to Working System

Planning ahead? Read the Larimer County septic permit guide and the septic installation cost guide.

  1. 1

    Visit the property

We walk the lot with you, look at access for equipment, and talk about the home you are building or the system you are replacing.

  2. 2

    Test the soil and design

A soil evaluation shows what your ground can handle. The system is then designed around your soil, lot and number of bedrooms.

  3. 3

    Get the county permit

Properties outside city sewer are permitted through Larimer County. We prepare and submit the paperwork so you are not chasing it.

  4. 4

    Install and inspect

We set the tank, build the drain field and connect the lines, then the county inspects the system before it is covered.
